Rev. Perry began his service to humanity in 1974 as an undergraduate in college where he focused on Mental Health Counseling. While in college, Rev. Perry worked at the Wilson Crisis Center. He also volunteered his time as a Counselor at the Eastern North Carolina School for the Deaf. He sat on the Wilson Crisis Center Board of Directors, and later served on the MCC of the Blue Ridge Board of Trustees.
Rev. Perry returned to school in 1981 when his interests led him into the Medical field. He has 22 years of experience working with critical care patients in the Hospital prior to his affiliation with UMC. He is a Nationally Accredited Respiratory Therapist and Registered Polysomnographic Technologist. Rev. Perry was also privileged to travel the United States testing and credentialing other Polysomnographic Technologists for two years.
Rev. Perry currently serves on the UMC National Board, and is an Ordained Minister and Certified Medium with United Metaphysical Churches. He is also the Pastor and President of the Board of Trustees of the Roanoke Metaphysical Chapel.
